Ann Arbor District Library Entrance

Ann Arbor, MI

The Ann Arbor District Library Downtown Branch required a renovation to its entrance that included some facade replacement, signage, and a universal design that allowed a smooth progression for barrier free access.  The intent was to presever the existing architecture as much as possible while integrating a more inviting set of entry doors.  Stairs were expanded at the entrance while sloped conditions on the north and south sides of the entry doors provided a gradual transition to the elevated entrance.
