Prudential Source One (PSO) is a real estate brokerage company based in Murrell's Inlet, South Carolina. They are an expanding business which encompasses residential and land sales, property management, vacation rentals, and community developments. They own a 5.5 acre site located on Highway 17, a main thoroughfare leading North to Myrtle Beach and South to Pawley's Landing, both tourist destinations. We are still working through the city zoning and ordinances to establish height and density requirements. The assumption is that the building(s) will be from 3 to 6 stories. The company would like to plan the site for mixed use with their headquarters as the anchor building. The program of the other building on the site is still being established. The final development should encourage pedestrian traffic and community involvement. Some ideas for use are: residential, community center, coffee shop/café, retail and professional offices. Site programming includes parking, pedestrian pathways and parkland (possibly a wetland). PSO is hoping that the development stands out as an example amongst the encroaching urban sprawl from Myrtle Beach.
